I come from a state that crowns a dairy princess every summer and then has someone carve her likeness in butter. 10,000 Lakes and the sound of crickets on a summer night. Bitterly cold waits for a bus home that never seems to come. And then I moved to Brooklyn -- and now I spend a lot of time sitting on the train listening to the click/clack/crack of the subway car. I guess more than 20 years is long enough to call me a New Yorker, eh?
I got my first guitar when I was 13. My parents bought it for me from a Sears catalog. I know that sounds quaint but it's true. That's the way it was done in those days. You could turn the pages and make wishes. And one day, one of mine came true. If you want to know more than this about me, please take a trip over to www.liannesmith.bandcamp.com & listen to my songs. Thanks.

This is the original video from my Kickstarter campaign that I launched last year in order to raise the funds for my record.
